Bio: Pi Ware’s career as a filmmaker began as a camera assistant in Madrid, Spain, working for such luminaries as Fernando Colómo and Pedro Almodóvar. After two years in Spain, Pi returned to his home in the United States, took a 15 minute editing course from Koyaanisqatsi editor, Alton Walpole, and began making his own films in Los Angeles. Pi is an Emmy-nominated editor, an award-winning producer and an alumnus of the Sundance Film Festival. He has created media for Fox Searchlight, Warner Bros., Disney, Universal and every major television network. From web series to documentaries to narrative feature films, his experience as a soup-to-nuts filmmaker is vast. Pi is a founding member of the non-profit film collective, Filmmakers Alliance, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the International Documentary Association. |
